Councilman Jerry Markward received a gift of appreciation from Ottoville Mayor Ron Miller at the last Council meeting in 2021. Mr. Markward served 4-terms, 16 years in the council seat and has seen many changes, projects and improvements to the village over those years. Mr. Markward is a lifelong volunteer for other organizations in the Village, he joined the Jaycees when he was 19 years old, that group is known today as the "O.A.C.C.s" serving 30 years to that organization. He also continues as a 28 year member of the Ottoville Volunteer Fire Department.
