Newly Elected Councilwoman

Newly elected Councilwoman Julie Brickner was sworn in at the 2022 Annual Organizational Meeting for the Village of Ottoville.

image 2She fills the seat vacated by retiring Councilwoman Karen Hoersten. Julie is the youngest of four children of Walt and Rose Brickner. She moved back to Ottoville from Columbus Ohio in 2018, where she worked for the American Cancer Society for 27 years. Julie's background is in human resources, training and development, and fundraising development. Julie is a reader and communion distributor for the church, and is currently serving her last year as a Parish Council member for Immaculate Conception Parish. After living in Columbus for so many years, Julie has most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, building new relationships and just being active in the community. After Julie's oath of office she stated: "It is a blessing to be in Ottoville amongst friends and family again, and I look forward to being a part of the administration that promotes Ottoville and all the great things we have to offer from a small town." When not working or volunteering, Julie likes to read, cheer on the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Guardians's and Browns.
