Full Job Description

Village Of Ottoville and The Ottoville Police Department is looking for three or more part-time police officers.

Part-time, varied shifts.

Position summary:
The candidate must have the ability to perform all of the duties of a police officer, which includes conducting criminal investigations and apprehending criminals; regulating traffic and enforcing traffic laws; conducting preventive patrol; responding to citizen calls and requests for services; and accurately completing paperwork and written reports. Work schedule will include some weekdays/ weekends/evenings/holidays.

Minimum Qualificationspolice officer wanted Ottoville Ohio

Education:
High School graduate or equivalent, Associates degree preferred.
Must have completed OPOTA (Ohio Basic Peace Officer Training Academy).

Required length and type of experience:
Prefer candidates with a prior commission from a law enforcement agency.

Required licensure, certification or registry:
OPOTA Certificate, High school Diploma or equivalent.
