The Ottoville Park is the place to be when summertime rolls around. Although the heat may get to some, we at the park feel "the hotter, the better" and we try to get as much out of summer as we can! This is a sample of what goes on and how things are organized to serve the best interests of our community.

The Park Board is the governing body of "Our Park", and consists of representatives from all of the different organizations within the community. We invite organizations to participate in order to get a more rounded understanding of what should be done to improve upon what we already offer, and also how to best upgrade and expand our facilities. Meetings are usually held on the last Tuesday of each month to discuss these issues.

We all love to spend money . . . if we've got it! The programs and improvements to "Our Park" are funded by the people who attend and staff the annual Ottoville Park Carnival on Labor Day weekend. If it weren't for the people, the park wouldn't have the spirit or life it generates. This is why a passerby can't pass by the park without stopping to find out "what's going on."

Programs offered during the summer in "Our Park" include: Facilities include multiple ball diamonds, large open areas, sand volleyball courts, a fully equipped playground, and a large shelter house.

For more information on any of the activities going on in the park, or for shelter house reservations, contact park administrator Steve Wittler.
