Background:
My business started out as a hobby when I was in high school. I purchased a 1963 Dodge and had a few accidents. It was in dyer need of repair. Like most high school kids, I had no money for the repairs, so I decided to take the challenge of repairing it myself. I completed the body work and had someone else spray the paint. After that I purchased a 1940 Ford Coupe which needed major restoration. I worked on it every day for a year in a one car garage, even my future wife helped. After the completion of the restoration I needed a place to store my pride and joy. That was when I built a building at my present location. That helped me out when many of my friends asked me to do some work on their cars. It was still just a hobby. However, as more and more people asked me to do work, the hobby grew into a business in 1979. This business was just part time, due to the fact that l had a full time job elsewhere.
As time went on, my business continued to grow. I need to stay caught up with the changing times, so I went back to school. I received training in Inter-industry conference of Collision Automotive Repair (I-CAR). To keep up with the types of paints and regulations, I attended PPG refinishing school. Recently, I became certified in automobile air conditioning and reclaiming. My business was growing right out of my building, so in 1990 I built a new facility that was three times bigger than my old one. My business grew so much that it needed full time attention. In 1995 I retired from my full time job and focused on my auto body repair business. Through all of this I have gained 23 years of experience.
