Ray Wannemacher Construction Inc. was founded in 1942 by Ray Wannemacher. It started with Ray and one employee as a small carpentry company. The shop was a small building on Ray's home place two miles east of Ottoville. In 1959, the name was changed to Ray Wannemacher Construction Company, with five employees doing the work.

In 1978, the business moved to its present location in Ottoville. Seven employees worked out of their two story 32' x 65' shop. Several additions were built on as the years went by.

In January of 1995, the company was incorporated and became Ray Wannemacher Construction Inc. In February of that same year, a fire started in their shop, burning the entire building to the ground. Soon after, a new 60' by 125' building, complete with a woodworking shop, was built. This is the current headquarters for the 10 employees of Ray Wannemacher Construction Inc.

Ray Wannemacher Construction Inc. is a builder of new homes and a remodeler of existing ones. They are experts in siding, roofing, masonry, concrete work, drywalling and all types of finish work.
